As the creative director of leading Australian sunglass brand Le Specs, Hamish Tame is used to collaborations that make an international impression. Tame's work with leading designers Henry Holland and Adam Selman has won the admiration of powerhouse performers Beyoncé and Rihanna but with his latest team-up the only person worth impressing was on the other side of the altar.
At the height of European summer Tame wed Sydney real estate agent Trent Gardner at the Villa di Ulignano in Tuscany, Italy.
The couple's journey to marriage began in Italy two years earlier, further south under the Sicilian sun on the island of Panarea.

"I caught Trent off-guard and got down on one knee on a morning walk around the island," Tame says.
Following the legalisation of same sex marriage in Australia in December 2017, it was back to Italy to make things official.
"We love travelling and had always agreed on doing something special overseas in either France or Italy with a small group of family and friends," Tame says. "We just never imagined that we would have such a huge turnout – that was quite a humbling pinch yourself moment."
With a friend training to be a celebrant to marry the pair and heartfelt speeches over a dinner with family it was an emotional affair alleviated by Proseco-fuelled dancing, with everyone cavorting to '70s songs until 4am.
"Marriage to us is the opportunity to stand in front of our family and friends and declare our love and commitment to each other,” Tame says. "Being married has definitely given us a sense of being more unified."
