Burberry chases rainbows down the runway

For his farewell collection at British luxury label Burberry, creative director, digital pioneer and all-round nice guy Christopher Bailey wore his colours on his sleeve, head and coat lining.
"My final collection here at Burberry is dedicated to – and in support of – some of the best and brightest organisations supporting LGBTQ+ youth around the world," Bailey said during London Fashion Week.
"There has never been a more important time to say that in our diversity lies our strength and our creativity."
As well as benefitting The ILGA, The Trevor Project and The Albert Kennedy Trust, the rainbow-soaked collection of jumpers, sneakers and jumpers is enough to bring the hardiest partier out of the Tuesday blues.
Wear the brilliant peaked hat, the surrogate love child of a cap and beanie, on top of a sombre navy suit to brighten up the boardroom or on lazy Saturday walks around your local Farmers’ Market.
After 17 years of service Bailey has been replaced at Burberry by Kardashian intimate Riccardo Tisci, fresh from Givenchy, but his legacy is as bright and bold as these pieces.
Let's hope Bailey now has some extra time to spend snuggling on a rainbow rug with husband, actor Simon Woods. The power couple married in 2012.
