Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek has shown that every gay groom should be considering a white suit, following his red carpet outing for the premiere of the film in which he plays the late Freddie Mercury.
While the screen story of Queen has received mixed reviews, Malek’s two-button Berluti suit deserves raves, especially styled with a black cotton polin shirt with white thread embroidery and Alessandro Galet Oxford shoes.
The growing luxury brand with stores in Melbourne and Sydney has a penchant for virginal white, with Call Me By Your Name’s Timothée Chalamet wearing white Berluti to the Academy Awards.
It seems that Malek has dropped any Freddie Mercury overtones since taking to British GQ.
"What was lovely about this was we both like dressing up," he told GQ. "I very much enjoyed these costume fittings, and in the costume fittings I would go in hair and makeup because I needed as much rehearsal time as possible. I wasn’t going in there as Rami, I went in there as Freddie and if I wanted a cup of tea, I ordered a fucking cup of tea. I could be a bit more naughty than I was, without getting too irreverent or too scandalous."
