TAG Heuer Monaco Bamford, $10,600

Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer has made a strong case for gay grooms swapping engagement rings for watches with their latest release.

The Monaco Bamford is a limited edition collaboration with the British watch industry disruptor Bamford Watch Department. Founded by George Bamford as a personalisation service for luxury watches, BWD has joined forces with Tag Heuer to re-imagine the watch made famous by Steve McQueen, Matthew McConaughey, and Brad Pitt.

Bamford has taken the Monaco from Bruce Wayne to Batman with a solid carbon 39mm case and full black dial to make the pimped out aqua blue chronometers pop. Inside tradition tales hold with the Calibre 11 automatic chronograph movement developed in the ‘60s.

This is Bamford’s latest foray into the luxury world have worked with Bulgari and Zenith, making it a tried and tested choice for an engagement present. It’s square cut without having to resort to diamonds.

Available exclusively in boutiques and at www.tagheuer.com.
