About Marry the Man
Covering style, grooming, travel, entertaining and everything involved in planning a wedding, Marry The Man is the place for gay men to be inspired and dream of happy ever afters.
Marry The Man was born when Damien Woolnough, former editor of vogue.com.au and writer for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, In Style, GQ, Elle and Marie Claire was walking from Sydney to Brisbane with his boyfriend, barrister Adam Russoniello, during Australia's 2017 same sex marriage plebiscite.
"While walking wondered about the steps after Australia voted 'Yes',” Woolnough says. "Heterosexual couples have had the weddings of Charles and Diana, JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, Kim Kardashian and Damon Thomas, Kris Humphries and Kanye West to inspire them, what is there for gay men? Where is our Meghan and Harry?
"I want to put my experience working for Vogue, Elle, In Style and GQ to use in helping gay men create new ways of celebrating their commitment to one another."
Marry The Man is a partnership between Damien Woolnough and Chris Harris of The Atlas Agency and Chris Laws of branding communication agency Born & Raised.
